Malcolm X's Independence Speech and Black Nationalism Today

On March 12, 1964, after being censured by the Nation Of Islam, Malcolm X broke his silence with this statement on his beliefs and his plans for his community.

In 1994/5, I performed this speech many times at speech and debate competitions. Mostly I wanted to be different from the Martin Luther King crowd. back then, I thought there was a difference between Martin and Malcolm. I believed there was a split in the Black thought. I chose Malcolm. My journey showed me there could be split. Once I removed divisive thoughts from my perspective these words made a lot more sense.

After twenty years of forgetting theses words and not seeing them, today I am amazed at having developed a much deeper understanding of Black Nationalism that leads me back to these words...

This is everything I've learned and believe in as it pertains to Black Nationalism. It seems very timely given the atmosphere today...

Because 1964 threatens to be a very explosive year on the racial front, and because I myself intend to be very active in every phase of the American Negro struggle for human rights, I have called this press conference this morning in order to clarify my own position in the struggle, especially in regards to politics and nonviolence.

I am and always will be a Muslim. My religion is Islam. I still believe that Mr. Muhammad's analysis of the problem is the most realistic, and that his solution is the best one. This means that I too believe that the best solution is complete separation, with our people going back home, that is, to our African homeland.

But separation back to Africa is still a long-range program, and while it is yet to materialize, 22 million of our people who are still here in America need better food, better clothing, better housing, better education and better jobs right now. Mr. Muhammad's program does point us back homeward, but it also contains within it what we could and should be doing to help solve our own problems right now while we're still in America.

But internal differences within the Nation of Islam forced me out of it. I did not leave of my own free will. But now that it has happened, I intend to make the most of it. Now that I have more independence of action, I intend to use a more flexible approach toward working with others to get a solution to this problem.

I'm not out to fight other Negro leaders or other Negro organizations. We must find a common approach, a common solution, to a common problem. As of this minute, I have forgotten everything bad that the other leaders have said about me, and I pray they can also forget the many bad things I've said about them. The problem facing our people here in America is bigger than all the other personal or organizational differences. Therefore, as leaders, we must stop worrying about the threat that we seem to think we pose to each other's personal prestige, and concentrate our united efforts toward solving the unending hurt that is being done daily to our people here in America.

I am going to organize and head a new mosque in New York City, known as the Muslim Mosque Incorporated. This gives us a religious base, and the spiritual force necessary to rid our people of the vices that destroy the moral fiber of our community.

Our political philosophy will be black nationalism. Our economic and social philosophy will be black nationalism. Our cultural emphasis will be upon black nationalism.

Many of our people aren't religiously inclined, so the Muslim Mosque, Incorporated, will be organized in such manner to provide for the active participation of all Negroes in our political, economic, and social programs, despite their religious or non-religious beliefs.

The political philosophy of black nationalism means: we must control the politics and the politicians of our own community. They must no longer take orders from outside forces, and we will organize, and sweep out of office all Negro politicians who are puppets for these outside forces.

Our accent will be upon youth. We need new ideas, new methods, new approaches. We will call upon young students of political science throughout the nation to help us. We will encourage these young students to launch their own independent study, and then give us their analysis and their suggestions. We are completely disenchanted with the old, adult, established politicians. We want to see some new faces, more militant faces.

Concerning nonviolence: it is criminal to teach a man not to defend himself when he is the constant victim of brutal attacks. It is legal and lawful in this country to own a shotgun or a rifle. We believe in obeying the law. In areas where our people are the constant victims of brutality, and the government seems unable or unwilling to protect them, we should form rifle clubs that can be used to defend ourselves and our property in times of emergency, such as happened last year in Birmingham Alabama, in Plaquemine, Louisiana in Cambridge, Maryland and in Danville, Virginia. When our people are being bitten by dogs, they are within their rights to kill those dogs. We should be peaceful, law-abiding—but the time has come for the American Negro to fight back in self-defense whenever and wherever he is being unjustly and unlawfully attacked.

If the government thinks I am wrong for saying this, then let the government start doing its job.

What I Learned On My Way to Church

10/6/13

Milton called the "sideline hustlers" out when he said if you don't have a business licenses and aren't paying taxes, you don't have a business. Michael learned a hard lesson about trusts and pre-nups last year. And Lanisha just said I need a mission statement for my newest child, RuggeD Posterity. So, as I was writing my oldest nephew a letter, I had to reflect on my life, my hustles and my future. That meant meditating on what I will leave behind for my family and community. And then I pulled up the scriptures for church so I could read before I got there...

Habakkuk is three simple chapters with huge implications. Habakkuk looked around him and only saw disaster after disaster, war, famine (depression), corruption... He called to God. "Where are the miracles you are famous for?" God's answer - write down your prophesy in stone so you never forget where you are going. Never forget what you are doing. See, the bad times can distract you from your purpose. We must focus.

It's very timely that I was introduced to a man (Ja War) who insisted on reminding us to write letters to our children. Those letters become manifestos. Those manifestos become trusts. Those trusts are legacy so we can leave something more than debts and habits behind. That is real wealth. That's a true inheritance.

There was a boarding house in my family. Was!. There was no trust. And so, there is no legacy.

We don't have to be the most verbose people to deliver instructions to our proceeding generations. We can give a real testimony. Second Timothy minds us that we have God's spirit and that spirit ain't no punk. So why are we always afraid to be our best selves? Why are we afraid to declare what our futures will be? We don't have any reason to be.

Some of you are familiar with a practice in churches called giving a testimony. That's where members of the congregation stand up and talk about what has happened to them. They usually point out God's presence. The rest of the congregation claps and cheers for God. Some people reflect on their recent past and see God was there too.

How many times, if this is your type of church, has anyone stood up and proclaimed what WILL be? Let's change that. Let's only proclaim what will be. And let's write it in stone for all posterity. Let's leave a mission of prosperity just in case the bad times come again and/or our progeny get lost on their journeys.

I usually don't extend the gospel reading beyond the verses read in church but the beginning of Luke 17 is major. Two things. You all know we stumble. Sin is everywhere. But Jesus says, the one that makes you stumble has his/her issue coming... Woe unto them! But here is where we must be bigger and better.

We must forgive them if and when they repent. Each and every time. This ain't an easy road I'm walking but it’s going somewhere worth far more than the journey.

“9 Will he thank the servant because he did what he was told to do? 10 So you also, when you have done everything you were told to do, should say, 'We are unworthy servants; we have only done our duty.'"

This one is important, how many of yall do this - looking for the glory. "I go to church every day. Let me get a miracle God." “I pay my tithes. Let me have..." "I go to work, on time even, everyday. I need a raise." "I go to school..." "I take care of my children (AKA keep them alive)."
Someone is doing all those things and not asking for anything but more work. Who do you think is going to get their blessing first?

As the father said yesterday, "We don't do good deeds for the reward, we do it because of who God is" As we become more Christ like, we learn that God is in each of us and the connection with God is a connection with others. Jesus could drive out demons because he could see the light in the darkest of places. That power is in us. So we learn to Love without expectation, to give without return. That is the greatest commandment - to Love. And when we learn, we teach the people around us. We create a legacy and tradition to be handed down from generation to generation.

Our manifestos don’t have to be anywhere near as grand as Dr. King dream, but they should be in the same vein. Instead, or in addition to, the daily play by plays that are our journal entries, we can leave blueprints/treasure maps/unfinished puzzles to our descendants. We may not make it all the way to final goal but each generation should be closer to it than we were when we passed. THAT is the true wealth. That is what any and everyone has to give to their children. That is our mission. That is hope. That is faith. That is Love.

…for eternity…

Inter-racial Dating: Why does it bother you?

I’m pro-choice. I’m also pro-keep it too yourself. I’m mostly pro truth. Choose either way you want, just be honest about why. In discussing the matter with friends, the question of motivation always comes up in the inter-racial dating discussion.
I went to Facebook for answers. One interesting comment says: I really don't know how I feel? cause if my dad didn't date my mom I wouldn't be here...my kids wouldn't be here. I guess whats bothering me now is the last 2 relationships i have been in and I am currently still in the last one...both men were MARRIED (but divorced when i dated them) to White women!!! i have always felt love is love but i am finding myself irritated at the site of Black men with White women. But i don't know why...

(I am finding myself irritated at the [sight] of Black men with White women. But I don’t know why…)
Neither do I. And I think that bothers us all the most.

In this age of uncertainties and ever increasing insecurities, we find solace in pointing out each other’s short comings. Misery loves company. We also want someone to blame for our struggles. Racism is dead but people are still broke and it must be someone’s fault. Now, the former victims of racism are getting into the blame game.
Among Black people, it’s easier to blame White men/women for our already damaged gender roles. Among ALL Americans, it’s always someone else who has the money. And so, inter-racial dating becomes about money and politics as well.

Main thing I would say is unless your an ultra rich White person or an old White republican type that thinks they're rich being White is a wrap! Interacial dating is in all cultures!!! As we Black "African" descendants break up these stereo types all the women in the world are realizing that the Black Man is the shit!!!!! This has opened up interacial dating doors for races of all kind!!! Love and Marriage is very Hardwork!!! I applaud everyone giving an honest God-Love relationship no matter race creed or color!!! P.S. These pink toes wit Donks is Killin some of these sisters I ain't mad at brothas chasin them bubbles!!!!

And of course, there are ‘The Bubbles”. The phenomena of White girls with ass is growing and creating more than a little confusion. I’m talking about REAL cheeks, not those Britney Spears implants. (Give it up Britney. We know.)
Some A lot of stereotypes are being turned up on their heads. The Bubbles are just two things that have changed. Not only is “being White a wrap” but so is being anything else. Black English, Ebonics, talking White, AND the valley girl dialects are dying thanks to the internet and free long distance.

The bottom line is -   love is love. color shouldnt matter.
The problem we have with inter-racial dating is that we (America) haven’t figured out what Love is. The thought that someone else has it figured out and that it doesn’t have anything to do with all or any of our preconceived notions is unsettling. We feel it when look at same race couples. Everyone hates PDAs that aren’t us. No one wants any couples in their faces with all that cute shit.
It’s just that we have no excuse for hating on the same race couples. In our blame game society, we can find a ton of reasons why inter-racial dating bothers us. Racism is dead (The Blog @ What I Learned…) but we will beat that dead horse and use the glue to keep on releasing ourselves from facing our own inadequacies.
Who we should consider are the couples who have looked beyond stereotypes and found Love. They inspire us to do something difficult and that’s change. And that change is made even more difficult because it’s our perspectives we have to change. Seeing someone happy shouldn’t bother us no matter what race the people are.
On the other side of the coin, there are those who choose to date outside their race to cover up for inadequacies. There are “color struck” people in all races. And they play the blame game like everyone else. They get tired of how someone in their family or culture treated them and turn their backs on their race.
In Las Vegas, I found myself in the company of quite a few White girls who had never dated White boys or even considered it. I noticed a correlation between these girls’ dating preferences and the absence of their fathers. Of course, having a lot of Black friends, I have had a few who mysteriously only dated the lightest skinned Black girls and eventually Latina and White girls. Both these White girls and my friends have in common is a motivation to disregard mates of the same race along with a refusal to discuss those same motivations.
We may never know the true motivations of these individuals. Anyone who is not honest about their motivations is not operating in Love. These people may be the minority when it comes to inter-racial couples. Because of that, we shouldn’t consider these people at all when it comes to dating. These people should not be dating within or without their race.
Although these may be the minority, these need our Love. If we are also lost and unfulfilled then we can’t help. We should start with ourselves. But if we know Love, we know to give Love. Perhaps we can help others to find Love. And if we know Love, we know nothing else, especially race, matters.

Letter to Jay-Z, Willie Lynch , Daddy and Everyone Else Who Ruined My Life

Letter to Jay-Z, Willie Lynch (click for the original letter), Daddy and Everyone Else Who Ruined My Life

This is a shout out to the assholes, a toast to the douche bags, and cheers to all the scum buckets.
You are no longer powerful in my life. In fact you are no longer a part of my life at all. You are on your own kiddos. For your sake I hope you can live on your own, you parasitic leeches. I am assuming full responsibility for my life from now on. I have established my independence from your our relationship.
I must admit I was worried that I wouldn’t be able to live with you as a crutch. Just imagining being responsible for my own actions without anyone else to blame seemed inconceivable. Then one day I tried it.
It was wonderful.
It was everything everyone always tried to tell me and so much more. More! This is living! Real living. The truth. The gospel according to Rhonda Byrne.
I’m free. I’m above all the hating and haters. And because of that, I have absolutely no need for scapegoats. There is no one to blame for my life but me.

So this is the break up letter to Jay-Z, Willie Lynch, Daddy, The Police, Some Snitches and everyone else who ruined my life up until now:

It’s not your fault. It was no one’s fault. I take full responsibility for where I am in my life. That means the past does not matter anymore. The only thing that matters is what I do from now on.
That means I forgive you all. I forgive you Jay-Z for killing Tupac and Biggie and/or taking over their spots at the top of the rap game. You almost ruined my life by doing so. I do enjoy your flows but every once in a while I miss Tupac. And someone must be responsible for that void in my life.
Then you went and joined the illuminati. (What ever that is) I saw some pot-head on YouTube explaining how you were in a secret society and that meant it wasn’t the fact that I kept showing up to interviews two-hours late and drunk that was to blame for my lack of a job. It was you and the illuminati. Unfortunately, there wasn’t an illuminati box on my welfare application so I was denied. That was your fault too.
I forgive you Willie Lynch, whoever you are. Until I heard about you, I thought my cousins kept stealing from me and lying about it because they were just bad people. But no, it was you, Willie. You made them do it. And when I turned my back on all my family it wasn’t either of our faults, it was you, Willie. I was just about to thank you for clearing all that up but after we reconciled and I explained and showed them all your letter, my family got into a huge slapping melee. Slap, slap, slap…  My head still hurts at random times behind that.
I forgive Daddy for hooking up with my mom. She is kinda fine, so I understand why you had to hit that. And then, I know she’s hard to deal with. So hey, you gotta do what you gotta do. And I get it. You hardly ever have any money now (because of Jay-Z and Willie Lynch) so I know there was no way to expect you to buy rubbers back then. So here I am. And here you are, so broke you can’t even afford to spend time with me. No worries! I’ll just get my drink on and do some gang bangin’ cuz.
I also forgive you, The Police, for your constant harassment of me. You got all these rules like you’re concerned for my welfare or something. Always trying to look for my weed. I forgive you for taking me to jail instead of listening to my sob stories. Even though I knew I was telling you an original lie, you showed me I was only lying to myself. I forgive you for that too. I wasn’t ready for no dramatic self-realization.

Since I forgive you all, you are no longer as necessary in my life. I will go one listening to your music like you were any other musician. You no longer have the power to brainwash me and make me act real niggerish when I find myself in Paris. I will no longer be a slave to capitalism. I will no longer allow myself to use and be used by my own family. I am no longer lost and empty, trying to fill the voids in my life with liquor and fake relationships. I love you all. I may even start obeying the law now that I see those rules weren’t made just to pick on me.

So, in the spirit of appreciation and not that of regret, thank you. It was nice knowing you all. If we are in each other’s lives beyond this point, our relationships will be entirely different. No more blame games. You will merely be a talented rapper/businessman, a desperate example of the worst of the free market, a loving family member, my community protector and just some guys who talk too much and you will either be in my life or not and it won’t change me one bit.
I love you all but you are no longer in charge of my life. I don’t have that much time for you anymore. I will from now on be too busy living. Period.

Goodbye. Good luck with ALL your bullshit.

FYI – I do believe Jay-Z is a good rapper/businessman. I have a good relationship with my father; he is in fact one of my best friends.
On amore serious note, it is my duty to inform all that while your life may have some huge problems, there is no one to blame but yourself. And I wouldn’t even suggest giving your self a hard time about it. I write an adult blog and I expect to be talking to only adults. So I can say, as adults, we are all responsible for ourselves. One of the main parts of being responsible means living without excuses.
There is so much I can say about excuses. In short, living without excuses means we will not be conspiracy theorists anymore. I don’t believe in coincidence. But that doesn’t mean correlation or causation. There was no Willie Lynch and even if there was, his life has nothing to do with your current laziness. You’re just lazy. No one forced any of my family members to be assholes, they just are.
The police and snitches get paid to find, catch and tell on people when they are doing wrong. You are doing wrong. If you chose to stop doing wrong, the police would be no more than direction givers and traffic directors. But you choose to do wrong so your life reflects that choice and ALL that comes with it. Your absentee parent is not a ninja who sneak s into your bedroom and steals all your rubbers, forcing you to become a naked-dicker. You just are.
You chose this life so far and you are free to choose otherwise as soon as you let other people stop driving.

Take control of your life and stop blaming others. I believe in a mighty God. He is so much bigger than racism, sexism, capitalism, haterism, Hovism, tattle-tale-ism or any other –ism you can come up with.
For every excuse/conspiracy you can come up with, I have one answer. Choice. You can choose God or the bullshit. Take your pick.

F#@&ing PETA

Fucking PETA!

My friend posted this blog with a video from PETA. The video is called “Why you should become a vegetarian.” It is the biggest piece of BS I have seen all day. No time to beat around the bush, apparently I am going to die of heart disease and I’m probably already impotent. Why are PETA members so utterly uninformed? Where the hell did they come from? And why do they waste so much time trying to convert the world to a vegan lifestyle with countless baseless factoids? The following is a list of reasons they gave and my responses to what are after being refute nothing more than opinions.

Know that I don’t support meat eating or vegetarianism. In fact, I am a quasi-vegan I eat red meat as little as possible. I haven’t eaten pork for over 14 years. If anything I am pro choice. People should be able to decide what they want to do based on their own personal experiences.

Some of these things are untrue some are but all are pretty much stupid. None of them are good reasons by themselves to change your beliefs.

1. Heart disease begins in child hood.
Fact – Child hood heart disease is congenital. Congenital defects are mostly hereditary.

2. A vegetarian diet reduces heart disease
Probably true but every vegan I know is very sickly. Congratulations! Your heart is healthy but you have no where near enough blood in your body to keep you alive should you catch a cold.

3. Eating meat and dairy makes you fat.
Eating too much of anything does indeed make you fat. The average person does eat way too much meat and dairy and that is what makes them fat. Not enough vegetables and fruit also contributes. How about dietary guidelines vegan and non-vegan for everyone?

4. You shouldn’t have to lie to your kids about the food that you eat.
What the fuck does this mean? Who does that?

5. In every package of chicken, there’s a little poop.
Probably true and pretty disgusting.  But once every one goes vegan and the world is overrun with animals, there will be poop everywhere!

6. Meat is filthy and bloody.
So is that filthy hemp T-shirt you’ve been wearing everyday for three weeks! Take a bath you dirty Hippy!

7. Because it isn’t fair.
That’s just gay. What is fair? PETA has millions that they waste on Pam Anderson’s Hepatitis C having ass to run around naked in anti-fur ads. Feed some homeless people instead of making rich people richer.

8. Because no living creature wants to see their family slaughtered.
Sounds nice. But so what? Are people in Thailand going to stop taking money to let rich business men murder innocent people because everyone is vegan now? I think not.

9. Eating meat causes impotence.
Damn! How can I refute this one? Oh! I know! Studies show the hormones in meat do cause impotence. THE HORMONES in meat. People, its OK to eat meat but not those BIG ASSES pieces of chicken. NO chicken should be that big. Just eat more small ones. Its OK.

10. Mad Cow is in the US.
So what! Quit eating raw food. Red meat shouldn’t be red. COOK THAT SHIT! It should be brown when you eat it.

11. Its violence we can stop.
Then how about spending millions on anti war ads? I know if you throw paint on my fur coat, I’mma fuck you up worse than the minks who’s skin I’m wearing.

12. No one should make a living by killing.
So now yall want people to quit their jobs during a recession. Smart move.

13. It takes a small person to beat a defenseless animal.
I don’t beat chickens. I eat them. And once in a while I choke mine. But I’m quite sure he doesn’t mind.

14. No animal deserves to die for your taste buds.
Well how about some delicious mushrooms. You know those fungi that grow from dead things. Oh look how beautiful that plant is! It was fertilized with the remains of some animal who died of natural causes.

15. The grain used to feed them could feed them(starving people in another country).
Then buy some you rich bastards!

16. More than Half the water used in the US goes to feeding animals.
So what? It’s a lot of animals and guess what there will be more when we stop eating and killing them. So how about, ALMOST ALL the water used in the US going to random assed animals wandering around the country?

17. Because when animals feel pain they scream too.
Well be careful not to step on that goats toes. And quit taking those sheep’s virginities! THOSE ARE NOT MOANS OF ECSTACY!

18. Because they’re defenseless.
Damn good one! I always thought though that birds had eyes on the side of their heads to defend themselves from predators. And wait a minute! Aren’t cows’ and goats’ and wait, wait fish’s eyes are spaced that way too? I think I remember my eighth grade biology teacher calling that a defense mechanism.

19. Because they don’t want to die.
Well I’m sure no one wants to die. But we all do. No one can change that. I sure if we were all super healthy and lived to be 200 on an overpopulated planet with wild animals running amuck, I would find someway to kill myself or kill all the idiots who keep invading my space.

20. Because they feel fear(Refer to #18)
Wait a minute! I remember something else form eighth grade science. Fear is a defense mechanism also. How about that?

21. Because no matter how you slice it, its still flesh.
Who says it isn’t? Quite tasty too! If I may add.

22. Commerce is no excuse for murder.
Sure it is. It is a BILLION dollar industry. But seriously, are we just complaining now about random factoids. I would still eat meat.

23. Even prisons aren’t this crowded(Picture of chickens in a chicken coop)
Have you been to jail? Yes they are!

24. This is not what wings are for.
Chicken can’t fly. And as far as I can tell from my visits to zoos and farms, they don’t really do anything with them. Except for at a cock fight. They flap all around then. But wait, that’s violence to animals never mind. So what are wings for?

25. Everyone wants to be free.
Yeah that’s true just ask your over bred house pet.

26. Eating fish doesn’t make you a vegetarian.
But aren’t fish pretty healthy? I guess we could just take fish oil…no…wait I think that comes from killing fish. Or…nope no other way to get omega threes in sufficient quantities? Gotta have those!

27. Because Might doesn’t make right.
I have no idea what this means as far as why I shouldn’t eat meat. Anybody? Anybody?

28. Because you know this is wrong(it’s a man tossing a brick on top of a pigs head and a man crushing a bird with his bare hands neither for eating purposes)
Hmmmm. Yeah that’s wrong. But I don’t eat pork. And I am pretty sure no one ate that pig so that was just random violence that had nothing to do with eating meat. So I am not sure how to stop that guy from doing things like that. And the bird was definitely not a bird that people eat. Nothing to do with eating. Probably not a reason to stop eating meat. But good try!

All in all I have nothing against vegans, or Jesus Freaks or any other zealot. Feel free to share your opinion. But I have to call Shenanigans when people try to convert the world using opinion and rhetoric. If you have some actual factoids, please share. I like to know as much as I can about everything possible. But don’t sell me ideas as facts.
Here’s a fact for PETA supporters. PETA spends less than most larger corporations percentage wise on actually helping other human beings. So while they spend millions on commercials showing starving children in other countries. Not one ounce of Tofu is being donated by PETA to the homeless IN AMERICA or to starving anything anywhere.

People don’t let emotional pleas distract you from facts. Fear is an emotion also. That’s why many propagandists use fear to motivate you. Like the thing about heart disease. Check it out. Know the facts. Make your own decisions.

[Comments]
I think maybe #27 is in reference to the whole Survival of the Fittest/Top of the Totem Pole theory I was gonna bring up in saying that this is just the way of the world.  Kill or be killed and (un)/fortunately (all on how one looks at it), humans are out of all species living are more apt to making sure they survive.  Now one might argue that humans can survive without eating meat which is true, but that doesn't mean they have to.  So anyway I guess  #27 is saying that even though we can do it because we are at the top of the lifeline eating pyramid, it doesn't make our actions right in doing anyway.  Though if we wanna get on right or wrong que sara sara about it, let me just point out that it has been shown more than once in the bible where animalistic sacrifices and dining are the way for humans to survive.  God supplied us with at least some if not all animals and plants to feed off of or sacrifice to him sustain the life He gave us.  A thousand times over there are references to Jesus Himself eating fish or giving fish for people to eat.  Let's not go there with right or wrong.  Anywho, I think that though this could be considered a serious issue to some, this blog is quite amusing and entertaining thanks to your additions JJ.  I actually didn't watch the whole video (-hey, i'm at work.  i didn't have time for all that.), I just thought what I did see was interesting enough to repost and if all it did was get a hilarious blog out of it then KUDOS cause I loved your quirks to each point, esp. #9 .  You should post this blog in a forum and see what type of convo you can strike up with the real public.  You would have to fix that video first though.  Peace.

Teen Pregnancy and Intentional Single Parents

So I went to the forums and came across this. Let me say before you read the original post and my response that the following is an opinion regarding a certain group of people. It is up to the reader to decide whether or not they are in that group.
All of my opinions are:
1.In response to the proceeding post
2.Based on my experiences in dating and friendships.

This is not a blanket statement. This is about the choices people make. I will address the consequences and my own personal stance. So with that here we go and feel free to respond but do think and try to be articulate and informed. Emotional outburst will be deleted.
Forgive the poster for her language. But read deeper into what she is really trying to say.
Anyone under the age of 25 that brings a child into this word is either and idiot or a fuck up. Probably both. Especially if they're the ones that "don't believe" in abortion.

I've had an assload of young mothers bitching today.

So to all of you young ho's with buns in the oven here's what's in store from you.

Yes you will be broke.
Yes you will be cheated out of an education, many fun times, and great opportunities.
No your relationship will not last.
Yes you will have problems dating in the future.
If you're lucky enough to stay home with the brat, your new job will basically be being a nanny/maid only you won't get paid for it.

Sounds great, huh? You think you're different? You think you're the exception? Trust me, your not.

For fuck's sake wait until you've got your shit together before breeding!

This has been a badass PSA.

I don't think she was talking about those women who are already prepared to have children. After all, she did say - Get you shit together before.... The problem she is focusing on is girls who are not prepared; the ones who have not thought about anything beyond having a baby.
I find it disgusting that young girls want to have babies and jump out on the scene like they never had children. All I think when I encounter these women is that there is some dude out there who got away with knocking a girl up. Whether or not the man is actively involved the onus always falls on the mother.
I met a girl who was 4 months pregnant at 20. The father was 19. They weren't together. And when I asked about him, the girl always said he was somewhere playing Playstation. Then this girl, who liked me, wanted to live with me. She had no job, was pregnant with someone else's child and no plans for her life. So essentially, she wanted me to raise her (an issue whether or not she was pregnant), raise her child because she couldn't and the father was busy with Playstation and take care of a family I had no hand in creating. And all while the "responsible" party was - Playing Playstation!
That is an extreme. But it is indicative of the state of our society. Some dick wanted to sound all extra intelligent and point our social norms of the past, so let me address that. We had children as soon as we could 14/15 because we died at 30. AND 50 years or more ago, a 14 year old had more life skills than most 30 year olds today. We more recently had children a little later on 19/20 because women got married (MARRIED!) at 17 and still we died at 55. (Again, those 17 year olds were FAR more mature than today's 25 year olds.) Now we are damned near guaranteed 100 year life spans even if we smoke and drink. Today, we start our lives OUR LIVES later on 25/30. Young marriages today are virtually doomed for divorce. So what the little lady said is true. While a young girl may be able to get her shit together after having a child, she will find her self just a little behind time wise because of the bundle of joy. And it is a bundle of joy.
Make no mistake; children are a blessing from God. What these young girls don't realize is the sacrifice they have to make to take care of them. No going out (at least as often). No random assed dating. No fast track on your career. No saving up to get a house (All that goes to day care and school). None of that and so much less.
What's so wrong with getting a career, getting married and starting a family in that order? IN THAT ORDER! Please help me understand.

I'm asking because the only answer I can come up with is extreme selfishness and pleasure seeking behavior. I know how great naked-dicking feels. How could most people not want it, right now? After God blessed you to have repeated unprotected sex with someone you have no future with, why not add a baby to that mix. Babies are cute. They smell good. You can put cute little clothes on them..

I guess the real question is - What is the rush?

Nothing. It's a rather smart move. But remember in life, one is not always yielded by their head, but their heart as well, if not more so. Now sounds like the rats homeskillet was referring to however, were not necessarily looped up in life's bliss how I may have meant it. Therefore, the "young girls want to have babies and jump out on the scene like they never had children" are disgusting and give the more thought out-planned girls/women and those who may not have thought it out but have some sense of direction and responsibility, a bad rep, damn chicken-head rats, guys included. Please keep in mind though that God has a laid out a plan for each and everyone of us even though he has graced us with free will. Children are a blessing and bad mom or not, those women, and men too, serve a purpose when a child is brought forth regardless of their circumstance. Sometimes they may be sent a child(/ren) to focus these parents or give them a reason to get off their ass and do something more than play PS whether it happens immediately, eventually, or not at all. There are so many possibilities as to why God does what He does, and all we can do is trust, not judge.
that's real shit folk! there are too many kids in fucked up situations because someone got horny and didn't want to take precautions. now u know i don't believe in abortion, but if society stops sugar coating shit and tells these kids what the real is...maybe they'd think twice. and you know doing what i do, i've seen the youngest of the young having kids (a 14 year old, what the hell!).
